This is the same design as my EDC carry that I came up with about a year ago. I like having a positive grip on a knife that still has some texture.
The G.L.Hanson and sons black micarta has some copper threads throughout it which gives it a unique look. It is sanded down but I stopped short of it being smooth.
The blade is W2 and heat treated with a hamon for a bit of extra pop. The blade was sanded down to 400 and then light polishes between the etches. I really wanted the contrast on this one so I did not go to a mirror finish as I have in the past.
The sheath is made by a famous leather worker out of the Seattle area where I get all the leather sheaths done. This on has a can't of about 15% for an easy draw.
